About GVS

GVS specializes in working with youth and adults living with mental illness to achieve their employment or educational goals.

GVS is part of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, as well as operates as a WorkBC subcontractor and provides unique programs supported by the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills. Since its inception in 1991, GVS has continued to operate through innovative funding partnerships between Ministries.

GVS has been operating since 1991 providing a unique supported employment program based on psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) best practices.

In collaboration with community and business partners, we strive to support individuals with mental health conditions to lead a satisfying, hopeful, and purposeful life.

 
 
 

Our Team

Our team is enriched by its multi-disciplinary staffing. The team includes Occupational Therapists, Job Developers, Peer Support Workers, Psychologist, and Computer Instructor.

GVS staff have specialized training and experience for the unique populations we serve. This includes mental health expertise, training in motivational interviewing, coaching, progressive goal attainment program, and many other evidence based practices.
